What's going on with NFT Bazl & Art Basel?

Less than six months after NFT BAZL billed itself as the world's first physical NFT gallery, Miami Art Week and Art Basel are bringing a veritable virtual deluge, and with it, its vocabulary of "blockchains," "cryptocurrencies," "drops," and apparent allergy to words with vowels.

What is NFT Bzl?

Another event with even less vowels called NFT BZL will host a conference at FTX Arena, home of the Miami Heat, on November 30, dedicated to all things NFT, with panels, digital galleries, activations, and high-profile speakers from Christie's, the British auction house founded in 1766, to Nifty Gateway, founded in 2018.

What's happening at Art Basel?

Last weekend however, thousands of NFT and crypto enthusiasts descended on Miami for the annual Art Basel festival, which has become a major sandbox for NFT art. They attended gallery shows, interactive experiences, concerts, panel events, parties and more.

What is the AR NFT?

The NFT is the video documentation of the AR experience, intended as an artwork in itself. That hybrid moment will never exist again: the light, the position of the virtual object, a bird flying by, the beach detritus, the colour of the sky and water, etc. is all captured as a cinematic vignette.
